Thank you to everyone who helped make Top Hat & Tails our most successful fundraiser yet!

On October 25th, the SPCA of Westchester hosted its 6th annual Top Hat & Tails benefit event at the Westchester Marriott, which raised an astounding $255,000!

Attendees enjoyed an unforgettable live and silent auction while dancing the night away to The LaBlanc Brothers Band. A photo essay by local fine art photographer Pam Connolly featured all the animals at the shelter who benefitted from this enchanting evening. Canine "dates" were on their best behavior as guests enjoyed a formal dinner and cocktail hour.

Joan Kalman was honored with the John W. Beach Memorial Award and Village Animal Clinic was awarded the Distinguished Service Award for the support they have shown our needy animals. Featured guests were Maria Milito of Q104.3, Catherine Michaels of 100.7 WHUD, and Count Max Tucci of 2 The Max LA Radio, who generously lended their voices for this special night!

We want to extend a hearfelt thank you to everyone who sponsored the event, attended, donated, and/or purchased a benefit journal ad, all of which helped to ensure the success of this wonderful event. We hope everyone enjoyed the night and knows how grateful we are for their support.

SPCA of Westchester Debuts
Its Own Cable Television Show, "Pet Tales"

This summer the SPCA of Westchester debut its own cablevision television show, "Pet Tales," on GO-TV. The program airs on Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m. on Channel 74.

Hosted by SPCA volunteer Mary Prenon, "Pet Tales" will cover a myriad of topics about pets, including SPCA special events, the SPCA's law enforcement division, health tips from local veterinarians, and even the latest pet fashions. Each show will also feature some of the SPCA's animals that are currently up for adoption.

"We are very excited about our new show, and hope that this will prompt even more people to come in and see all the wonderful animals we have here for adoption," said Shannon Laukhuf, acting Executive Director. " We also want to let viewers know about the important work that's done every day at the SPCA by all of our staff and volunteers."

GO-TV broadcasts public access on Channel 74, and available to viewers in Ossining, Briarcliff Manor, Tarrytown, Sleepy Hollow, Chappaqua, Pleasantville, Valhalla and Mount Pleasant.
